Day 01 : Arrival Ahmedabad & Drive to Bhavnagar OR Arrival

Arrival at Bhavnagar, Met by driver and transfer to your hotel
On arrival Check in at Hotel.
half day sightseeing of Bhavnagar.
Overnight at hotel.

02 : Bhavnagar – Palitana – Gondal (60 + 180 Kms)
After Early/Pack breakfast at 6.00 AM drive to Gondal onway
Visit of Palitana – Shatrunjaya Temple (doli-lift chairs
are available at extra cost)
After Lunch(own) drive to Gondal & Check in at Hotel.
Time permit evening visit of Gondal & Surroundings.
Overnight at Hotel.

03 : Gondal – Junagadh – Tarnetar ( 65 Kms + 160
Kms)
Morning : Visit of Junagadh covering Asock Rock Edict, Buddist
Cave, Museum
Later drive to Tarnetar & Fairsite.

Tarnetar
Fair [Near Rajkot] ( Proposed Dates : 28/30th Aug'2006)
Tarnetar is a small village about 75 kilometers from Rajkot
in Saurashtra. Here, one of the most colourful fairs in the
State takes place.  Elegantly
dressed in colourful dhot s, waistcoat and head cloth twisted
at an angle on their heads, they hold large colourful embroidered
umbrellas which indeed have become emblems of the fair. Tarnetar
is one of the most important matchmaking melas. An ancient Shiva
temple is stood on the site. The present temple was built on
the banks of a rivulet and has a kund or reservoir in the traditional
manner. It is usually attended by at least 50,000 people. The
participants are tribal people belonging to various groups,
such as the koli, Bharwad, Rabari, Kanbi, Kathi, Charan, and
other Castes. The folk music and folk dances are the principal
attractions of the fair. Tribal folk dressed in their most colorful
embroidered garments and dashing headgear, give themselves up
to merrymaking.

04 : TARNETAR – Fullday Enjoy the Festival at Tarnetar.
Dinner and Overnight at the Camp at TARNETAR

05 : TARNETAR – Mandvi (230 Kms)
After breakfast Drive to Mandvi(Kutch) one of the finest
beach destination of Gujarat.
Afternoon arrive at Mandvi and enjoy the beach activity
Overnight at the Swiss Tents.

06 : Mandvi to Bhuj (60 Kms)
Visit the Rabari Villages around Mandvi, Samma Village
at Pragsar etc
Later afternoon Drive to Bhuj Upon arrival proceed to DSP/Collector
office to obtain the permit ( Please Note all foreign clients
need to obtain the permit for Banny village visit) ** Note :
2nd & 4th Saturday & Public holidays are closed at DSP/COLLECTOR
office hence set the dates accordingly.
Evening visit the Bazar at Bhuj with Visit of Aina Mahal etc.
Overnight at Bhuj Hotel.

7: Bhuj – Fullday visit to the Banny villages (150 Kms
/ 4 Hours onway)
Fullday excursion to the Banny villages to see various
typical villages to see the traditional art and
culture of Gujarat. Evening return to Bhuj hotel for overnight

8: Bhuj - Ravechi
After breakfast drive to Ravechi visit Ravechi Fair.

Ravechi
Fair [Near Bhuj] ( Proposed Dates : 02/4th Sept'2006)
Ravechi Mata Temple is located near Nana Reva in Rapar Taluka
of Kutch. A grand fair is held on Bhadra Sud Atham of Hindu
Calender. More then 30 thousand people participate in Ravechi
Fair, mainly Ahir, Rabari & Charan communities.
** Important Note : Please note "these
dates may vary according to Hindu Calendar" Evening stay
at the fair site (accommodation is very basic)
Overnight Revechi or return to Bhuj for overnight.

9 : Ravechi – Bhuj (150 Kms)
Enjoy the fair till the late evening and later return
to Bhuj and stay at the Bhuj Hotel
Overnight at Hotel.

10 : Bhuj – Dasada (Little Rann of Kutch) – 280 Kms

Temples & also cover interesting Badrapurnima Fair

Bhadra
Purnima Fair [Near Ambaji] ( Proposed Dates : 05/07th Sept'2006)
Ambaji village lies at the foothills of the Aravalli mountain
range in north  Gujarat.
It is the principal shrine of the goddess in Gujarat. The temple
of Ambaji is recognised as one of the original Shakti Pithas.
On full moon days there is a virtual festival at Ambaji, but
the full moon of Bhadrapad is one of the four most important
festival days of the year, when agriculturists go to the temple
in their thousands, along with members of the general public.
There is a large fair on this occasion, while in the evening
performances of Bhavai are held, and garba programmes are organised.
Over five Lacs people come here during Bhadra Purnima fair.
